Tori Kelly Sings National Anthem at NBA Finals
LF Radio artist, Tori Kelly, added another major milestone to her 2026 résumé this week when she performed the national anthem before Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs. The Grammy winning singer delivered "The Star-Spangled Banner" ahead of tipoff on June 3, placing one of music's most celebrated vocalists on one of the biggest stages in sports.
The performance introduced millions of viewers to Kelly's signature vocal style and continued a year that has already been filled with significant career moments.
A Strong Year for New Music
Kelly enters the summer with momentum surrounding her upcoming album, God Must Really Love Me, scheduled for release on June 12. The project marks her first full length album since 2024's Tori and has been described as one of her most personal and faith centered releases to date. Alongside the album announcement, she unveiled new music and launched pre orders for the project.
The album continues Kelly's evolution as an artist who has successfully navigated pop, gospel, Christian, and R&B music throughout her career. Already a two time Grammy winner in the Gospel category and one of the most respected vocalists of her generation, Kelly remains a rare artist whose music resonates across multiple audiences.
Joining Forrest Frank's Biggest Tour Yet
Following her NBA Finals appearance and album release, Kelly will spend much of the summer on the road as a special guest on Forrest Frank's highly anticipated "Jesus Generation Tour." The 29 city arena and stadium trek launches in June and will feature Kelly alongside worship leader Cory Asbury and rising group The Figs.
According to tour organizers, Kelly will help open each night before Frank's headlining set, creating one of the strongest lineups currently touring in Christian music. The tour includes stops at major venues across the United States, including Madison Square Garden in New York, GEODIS Park in Nashville, and Oakland Arena in California.
The outing follows the massive success of Frank's sold out "Child of God Tour Part 2," making it one of the most anticipated faith based tours of 2026.
Faith-Focused Influence Continues to Grow
While Kelly first gained national attention through mainstream pop success, she has increasingly embraced opportunities within Christian and inspirational music. Her collaborations, gospel recordings, and worship centered performances have helped her build a unique career that bridges multiple genres while maintaining a strong connection to her faith.
Her NBA Finals appearance serves as another example of that broad appeal. Whether performing on award show stages, recording new music, or singing before one of the world's largest sporting events, Kelly continues to demonstrate why she remains one of the most respected voices in music today.
With a new album arriving this month and a nationwide tour alongside Forrest Frank set to reach thousands of fans throughout the summer, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most active and visible years of Tori Kelly's career.
