Samuel Limo Onwubiko Jr., aka Limoblaze, was born in Nigeria and resided in a part of town that was predominantly Islamic. Despite his surroundings, his parents raised him and his seven siblings as Christians. At the age of 8, he discovered the music of Tupac, Eminem, and 50 Cent. Eventually his love of hip hop led him to find Christian rappers like Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Da T.R.U.T.H. and Tedashii. These influential artists not only led him to a more personal relationship with Jesus but to become an Afro gospel, Afrobeat and hip-hop gospel singer, songwriter artist. He would often practice his craft in the streets of his hometown despite the teasing of his friends when he shared his music dreams.

While studying Biochemistry at the University of Agriculture Makurdi, Nigeria, Limoblaze joined Day Star Church, where he began his professional music career. After 5 albums (which he collaborated with his musical influences Lecrae and Da' T.R.U.T.H.) and awards including the African Gospel Music and Media Awards (2x), Crystal Awards Best International Act (2019), and Premier Gospel Awards Best International Act, he made the move to the United Kingdom in 2022, married his longtime girlfriend and signed with Reach Records. In his first EP, Sunday in Lagos, Limoblaze released his first single, "Jireh (My Provider) Afrobeats Remix" with his take on the popular Maverick City Music track. That song peaked as high as #15 on the Billboard Gospel song chart. While he is seemingly just getting started he says, “My vision is to use music as a platform to build systems that help young Christians gain the tools and guidance that empower them to share the gospel and chase their dreams.”

You can hear Jireh (My Provider Afrobeats Remix as well as Little Longer, Mowanbe (ft. Wande), and Over (ft. Elle Limbear), right her on LF Radio.
