bodie
You might be familiar with bodie ever since his 4-chair turn on Season 22 of The Voice. Performing Brandon Lake's song, "Gratitude", on the show caught the attention of many fans and under coach Blake Shetlon, he finished second on the show.
Before he became a fan favorite on the show, he led worship for several churches in Southern California and also attended Vanguard University where he got a Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts.
After the show, he wasn't necessarily keen on signing with a Christian record label, but after some time he chose to sign with Provident Records. In April of this year, he released his debut EP, Happy To Be Here. The first single from that EP, is titled RIP. Bodie had this to say about the track: "I wanted to write a song that celebrated the decision and miracle of dying to one’s fleshly nature (Galatians 5:24), and living as a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The lyrics are pretty straightforward and aggressive to really drive home the message that experiencing a deep relationship with Christ comes at the cost of consistently leaving your old life behind and denying your flesh daily. I’m so excited for you to hear my new song, 'RIP,' and I also hope it inspires you and makes you headbang in your Prius."
