She is an author, actress, singer, songwriter and pop-worship recording artist. Beckah Shae is also co-owner of Shae Shoc Records (along with her husband,producer, and manager, Jack Shocklee), the record label she has been signed to for nearly 20 years.
Through songs like "Life", "Gold", and "So Will I (100 Billion X)", she has shared her passion for truth and freedom with a "desire to see lives transformed through an encounter with Jesus and the power of the Gospel". She credits her mother for her strong faith who, after divorcing Beckah's father, suffered through abusive remarriages, being very poor and spending time in battered women's shelters, she eventually converted from Judaism to Christianity.Sadly, she lost her mom this past month (December 2023).
While Beckah did not experience physical abuse as a teen, she did battle anxiety and bulimia. But, in her early 20s, her mother helped her see Jesus as her "protector, provider, best friend, comforter and counselor". In addition to sharing her faith through her music, she has also worked with Kids Alive International and the A21 campaign to help orphaned children and victims of human trafficking.

Along with her husband 3 daughters, Joy, Grace and Hope, she calls Nashville home.
