Hulvey's Altar Certified GOLD
Hulvey Earns First RIAA Gold Certification with “Altar” Collaboration
LF Radio artist, Hulvey (Christopher Michael Hulvey) has officially earned his first ever RIAA Gold certification. The single “Altar”, a collaboration with Forrest Frank of Surfaces, surpassed 500,000 units sold and was certified Gold on June 24, 2025. This milestone marks a significant achievement both for Hulvey and Reach Records, the label he signed with in early 2020.
A Snapshot of Hulvey’s Musical Journey
Hulvey emerged in 2019 in Reach Records’ roster and quickly made his mark with two EPs released in 2020, Prelude and BRKNHRT, shortly after signing with the label. His debut full-length album, Christopher, released in April 2021, charted at No.?8 on the Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums and No.?19 on Rap Albums.
Following up in 2024, Hulvey released his second studio album CRY on September 13, which climbed to No.?4 on the Christian charts, bolstered by standout tracks like “Altar” and “All For You”. He also gained traction through collaborations, including “No Longer Bound” with Forrest Frank in 2023 and a remix of “Altar” featuring Ciara in June 2024.
Recent Songs & the Road Ahead
At the start of 2025, Hulvey released “Bring Heaven Down”, a worship leaning single rich in horns and emotional fervor. He shared that “Out of all the songs I have ever recorded or written… I wept in the studio creating it”. The track launched just before his “All For You” national tour, a 32 stop U.S. journey beginning in February with support from nobigdyl.
Continuing that momentum, June 2, 2025 saw the arrival of Hulvey’s powerful single “Jesus Is Lord”, featuring hard-hitting rhythms and bold spiritual declarations; he acknowledged on Instagram, “feels like I’m really rapping again”.
