Forrest Frank Breaks Back
Forrest Frank Fractures Lower Spine During Skateboarding Accident
LF Radio artist, Forrest Frank, best known for his Dove Award winning single “Good Day” and his Grammy?nominated album Child of God, suffered multiple lumbar vertebrae fractures this week while skateboarding with his 2 year old son, Bodie.
According to social media updates, Frank’s skateboard slipped out from under him during a sidewalk outing on July 19, causing a painful fall onto his back. In a hospital selfie video posted that day, he wore a neck brace and appeared visibly shaken. “Fractured the vertebrae,” he confirmed.
Eyewitness footage from his home security camera showed the moment of the accident. In the clip, his toddler approaches, worriedly asking, “Are you okay, Daddy?” Frank’s wife, Grace, can be seen rushing to his side.
Later, on Instagram, Frank expressed gratitude for his caregivers and posted a short song he composed while bedridden titled “God’s Got My Back,” which humorously yet sincerely references his injury and growing faith. He confirmed the broken vertebrae affected his L3 and L4 segments, advising followers that he’ll be recuperating from bed rest for some time.
Fans and peers responded with prayers and encouragement, flooding his comment sections. Frank remains buoyed by his faith, telling followers, “this may have broken my back, but God’s got my back."
We are eagerly awaiting the release of Forrest's song and to see him preform at a scheduled event next month.
