Matthew Parker born on March 9th in Jonesville, Michigan where he grew up with 10 siblings. Taking piano lessons as a kid, Matthew wasn't really interested in music and hated to practice, but when he found he could create his own melodies and songs, he began to discover his passion for music. It started with jam sessions in the attic with his brothers, which at the age of twelve turned into him learned his craft and making songs by experimenting through GarageBand on the family computer, it was then that he discovered the magic of music production and was irreversibly hooked. Matthew eventually outgrow the capabilities GarageBand, but it spurred him onwards to learning more about his craft and Christian electronic dance music. You wouldn't expect to hear the unique blend of Urban, EDM, and Pop vibes from a singer & producer who grew up in rural Michigan, but Matthew brings a modern and refreshing, though still sentimental and nostalgic sound to the genre.
His first album, Meet Your Maker, was released January 15, 2013, independently. This caught the attention of Dröm Records, where on September 30, 2014, they released his first studio album, Shadow/ands.
Since then, with over 50 million streams across all platforms and no sign of stopping, Matthew Parker has clearly created a sound and sentiment that resonates with many people.
In 2017, he partnered with Chris Howland to release the debut single "I'll remember this", which reached over 1 million plays on Spotify. The following year, in 2018, Matthew released his sixth studio album, Daydreamer, on October 26.
Matthew is known for his knack for infusing bucketloads of emotion into his meticulously detailed productions. Matthew has not slowed down in his quest to dream up new aural masterpieces, releasing over 10 singles & remixes in 2020, all of which were very well received, and 2021 is looking to match 2020 with releases. Matthew's radio single release "Roses" has been on the charts for 8 weeks climbing into the top 10.
