Anyone who grew up watching Nickelodeon in the 90s is familiar with Kel Mitchell, the grandson of a pastor from the south side of a Chicago,  as he starred in All That (1994-1999). His appearance on that show led to starring in a spin-off, Kenan & Kel (1996-2000). The comedy duo also appeared in a full-length feature film, Good Burger, based on a sketch from All That.

The two-time Emmy Award-nominated actor, producer, and comedian has added many other credits to his list of achievements. He is the author of Prank Day, a young adult book where the pranks of one young man become reality on April 2nd. In 2019, he became the Youth Pastor of Spirit Food Christian Center in Winnetka, California.

In his youth ministry, Kel shares his testimony of dealing with depression, addiction, and suicidal thoughts, not only with the students at his church, but youth around the globe through speaking engagements. He also shares his passion for music with the youth which led to his first single, Blessed Mode, for which he wrote a devotional book, Blessed Mode: 90 Days To Level Up Your Faith. The song and book were released in April 2022.

One year later, Kel shared his second single as a Christian hip hop artist, with Go Time. Mitchell describes the upbeat and inspirational track as “a daily reminder to use your faith and move when God says move!”

In May of 2023, Mitchell joined Kenan Thompson once again to begin filming Good Burger 2. To keep up with all of Kel’s work, visit kelmitchell.com or follow him on social media:
