ELEVATION RHYTHM is a new expression of worship coming out of the youth ministry of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC founded by lead Pastor Steven Furtick. With youth and young adults at the forefront of their mission, ELEVATION RHYTHM believes in writing and recording songs with a variety of bold sounds, textures, and genres. In doing so, they aim to create a space for those searching for purpose, identity, and acceptance to encounter Jesus.
Their song, “Never Walk Away,” claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Christian Music Hot AC/CHR chart.
The single “IYKYK” a play on the popular online acronym, meaning “if you know you know”, is about trusting in the big picture that the Lord is at work in your life right now, even if you can't see the details. The lyrics are meant to inspire listeners to find their identity in their relationship with Christ. “This song is not just for young people; we’re all faced with what culture celebrates... whether it’s status, wealth, or relationships. We’ve found that all of those things are temporary, but God’s promises are eternal,” says Davide Mutendji
Following the April 2022 release of their debut album, Growing Pains, Elevation Rhythm released"AQUÍ ESTOY" an upbeat and infectious song, just in time for summer.
“AQUÍ ESTOY” climbed to number on the Hot CHR chart in 2022. Brittany Diaz said “The song is about the joy and the freedom that comes with living life with Jesus. A lot of the time we try to find pleasure in things or places that leave us feeling empty, but the Lord promises us an abundant and fruitful life in Him.
