BrvndonP, from Sacramento, is Cali’s up-and-coming beat-making prodigy, songwriter, and artist. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that different forms of music always surrounded Brvndon. His father is a musician and skillful keys player, and his parents exposed him to a wealth of music as a child, all of which influenced his development. He started drumming as a toddler, and got into production and rapping as a teenager, but considered music a pastime until he attended Ex'pression College for Digital Arts. Brvndon’s influences are vast, which his post-production demonstrates, providing sonically a collection of varied genres to appease the appetite of any songwriter’s need. Everything he listens to plays a key role in his musical development in some way. Due to the diversity and uniqueness in his sound, Ryan Leslie is one of Brvndon’s biggest musical influences. He also includes Timberland, Qunicy Jones, !llmind, & Tye Tribbett as some of his top musical influences.
Brvndon, originally known as, "Black Knight” earned production credits on a handful of albums from 2012 through 2015, most notably for KB's Weight & Glory and Andy Mineo's Uncomfortable, both of which topped Billboard's Christian chart.
In 2016 Brvndon decided to reinvent himself and start from scratch and making his own beats and lyrics while traveling with Andy Mineo as his official drummer and released his well-received self-titled album in June 2016 which debut at #11 on iTunes hip hop chart and featured such notable artist like Lecrae and E-40, and with several projects following since, including 3 albums, 2 live albums and 2 hit radio singles “Issa Bop” with Mission and current radio single which is #2 on The Hot Chart, “Fear of Heights."
BrvndonP is on a mission to create music that glorifies God, while building up young people, saved and unsaved. One of his desires is that his music be able to compete with top mainstream production. According to Brvndon, “beats are the bait to get people to bite, and then reel them in with the message”. God placed a burden inside of Brvndon to help young people see that there is a purpose for everyone, and its up to them to live it out.
